Drying Room Monitoring and Humidity Control
A drying room is won or lost on humidity. Agrinovo measures temperature and relative humidity continuously, alerts the moment either leaves the band you set, and switches your fans, heater and dehumidifier through the controller. Used for cannabis, dates, herbs and seeds.
Measure both variables, then act on them
Recording a bad dry is not the same as preventing one. The controller does both.
One bad night costs the batch
Humidity climbing overnight is the failure nobody sees until the room is opened. Continuous logging plus an alert on the first reading outside the band turns that into a phone notification instead of a loss.
A record of every batch
Every reading is stored and exportable, so each batch carries a full temperature and humidity history. Useful for proving process consistency and for working out why one run came out better than another.
Rooms are not uniform
Temperature and humidity vary between floor and ceiling, and near the extraction point. Sensors are addressable on the Modbus bus, so a room can carry several measurement points rather than one and a hope.
Control that survives an outage
The control loop runs on the controller itself, not in the cloud. If connectivity drops, the relays keep working to your setpoints and the readings sync when the link returns.
How the control loop works
Four parts, wired once.
- 01
Sense
A THS-100 temperature and humidity sensor reports over RS-485 Modbus RTU. Probe housings are available for high dust and washdown environments.
- 02
Decide
The Omni Genesis controller compares each reading against your setpoint and hysteresis band, so equipment does not chatter on and off around the threshold.
- 03
Act
Up to four relay outputs switch the extraction fan, dehumidifier, humidifier and heater. Each output has its own rule.
- 04
Log and alert
Readings stream to the cloud dashboard, and anything outside the band raises an alert. History is exportable per room and per batch.
For the wiring detail, setpoint and hysteresis walkthrough, see the drying room humidity control guide.
What gets dried in these rooms
Same hardware, different targets.
Cannabis
Drying and curing rooms, where a narrow humidity band over a long hold decides the quality of the batch.
Dates
Hydration and drying rooms, where the target moves through the cycle rather than staying fixed.
Herbs and spices
Low temperature drying where overshooting costs colour and aroma.
Seeds and grain
Drying to a storage moisture target, then holding it without over-drying.
