Overview

The ORP-110 is an industrial ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) probe designed for continuous water quality measurement and control. Its RS485 Modbus RTU output connects directly to IoT controllers and any PLC or SCADA system that speaks Modbus. Internal axial capacitor filtering, a 100MΩ high-impedance front end, and four-layer isolation give it the noise immunity needed for disinfection lines, greenhouses, and process water, and the PTFE electrode body with IP68 sealing holds up in continuous immersion.

Why Monitor ORP

ORP summarizes the oxidizing or reducing state of water in one live number. In aquaculture and RAS it tracks disinfection strength and organic load; in irrigation and fertigation lines it verifies water treatment; in wastewater it monitors process stages. Because ORP responds within seconds to dosing changes, a continuous probe paired with alerts catches over- and under-dosing that spot checks miss.

Installation

Mount inline via the front or back 3/4” NPT thread, or submerge the probe directly; avoid trapped air bubbles at the electrode in pipeline installs. Keep the electrode wet between uses and clean it gently; the PTFE body tolerates continuous immersion in demanding water. Calibration is a single-point offset against an ORP standard solution, written over RS485 without removing the probe for long.

Connectivity and Integration

The RS485 Modbus RTU output (9600 bps, 8-N-1) connects directly to the Omni Genesis and Genesis Lite controllers, streaming continuous ORP readings to the cloud with thresholds and alerts, and connects to any PLC or dosing controller with a Modbus RTU input. This is the same modular approach as the rest of the Agrinovo range: one controller, any mix of sensors, including the PH-110 sharing the same industrial body.
