## 1. Overview

The AGRINOVO-EC-120 is a digital salinity and conductivity sensor for seawater, brine, and acid or alkali solutions. A graphite electrode with a 10.0 cell constant covers salinity from 0 to 100 ppt, and the PTFE body resists strong acids, strong alkalis, and seawater corrosion. One Modbus read returns conductivity, resistivity, temperature, TDS, and salinity.

### Key Features

- Salinity range: 0 to 100 ppt
- Accuracy: ±1.5% FS
- Cell constant K = 10.0
- Graphite electrode, resists polarization

### Measurement Registers (Function 0x03)

Every value is a 32-bit IEEE-754 float held in two registers, low word first.

| Address | Description | Unit |
|:--------|:------------|:-----|
| 0x0000 to 0x0001 | Conductivity | mS/cm |
| 0x0002 to 0x0003 | Resistivity | Ω·cm |
| 0x0004 to 0x0005 | Temperature | °C |
| 0x0006 to 0x0007 | TDS | ppm |
| 0x0008 to 0x0009 | Salinity | ppm (÷ 1000 for ppt) |

### Configuration Registers (Function 0x06)

| Address | Description |
|:--------|:------------|
| 0x0014 | Slave Address |

## 6. Reading Data

Read 10 registers from 0x0000:

```
Request:  01 03 00 00 00 0A C5 CD
Response: 01 03 14 08 12 3E A2 7E 0F 45 45 A2 B1 41 DD 3B E2 43 1E 0E AC 43 2E F8 F6
```

**Decoding:** swap the two 16-bit words of each value, then read the result as a float. Conductivity arrives as `08 12 3E A2`, which becomes `3E A2 08 12` = 0.316.

| Value | Received | Swapped | Result |
|:------|:---------|:--------|:-------|
| Conductivity | 08 12 3E A2 | 3E A2 08 12 | **0.316 mS/cm** |
| Resistivity | 7E 0F 45 45 | 45 45 7E 0F | **3159.9 Ω·cm** |
| Temperature | A2 B1 41 DD | 41 DD A2 B1 | **27.7°C** |
| TDS | 3B E2 43 1E | 43 1E 3B E2 | **158.2 ppm** |
| Salinity | 0E AC 43 2E | 43 2E 0E AC | **174.1 ppm (0.174 ppt)** |

## 7. Address Configuration

### Change Address (0x01 to 0x02)

Write the new address to register 0x0014:

```
01 06 00 14 00 02 48 0F
```

### Broadcast Discovery

Use address 0xFF with only one device connected. The sensor replies with its own address.

```
FF 03 00 00 00 0A D0 13
```

## 8. Installation Notes

**Sensor Placement**

- Electrode tip faces the flow
- Fully submerged in moving water
- Stable flow, free of air bubbles
- Avoid dead space; bypass mounting is suitable

**Cable and Maintenance**

- Keep the electrode surface clean
- Avoid bare hand contact, oils, and grease
- Do not disassemble or scrape the electrode
- Route the signal cable separate from power lines
- Do not extend or replace the factory cable
- Verify wiring before applying power
